Leonardo José Duarte
Professor Assistente na Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC), foi pós-doutorando no Grupo de Química Computacional Aplicada, sob supervisão do Prof. Dr. Ataualpa Braga na Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Obteve seu doutorado em Química pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) em 2023, defendendo a tese intitulada ''Chemistry of Molecular Vibrations'' sob a orientação do Prof. Dr. Roy Edward Bruns. Foi pesquisador visitante na Universidade de Manchester (UoM) em 2019 e na Universidade de Coimbra (UC) em 2024. Atualmente, sua pesquisa foca no estudo de reações induzidas por radiação no infravermelho e no desenvolvimento de modelos que descrevam o fenômeno de redistribuição intramolecular de energia vibracional (IVR) e teoria da Topologia Química Quântica. Seus interesses de pesquisa também abrangem quimiometria, catálise heterogênea e dinâmica molecular.

Assistant Professor at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). He was previously a postdoctoral researcher in the Applied Computational Chemistry Group at the University of São Paulo (USP), supervised by Prof. Dr. Ataualpa Braga. He earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 2023, defending the thesis titled "Chemistry of Molecular Vibrations" under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Roy Edward Bruns.
He has international experience as a visiting researcher at the University of Manchester (UoM) in 2019 and the University of Coimbra (UC) in 2024.
Currently, his research focuses on the study of infrared radiation-induced reactions and the development of models to describe Intramolecular Vibrational Energy Redistribution (IVR) and Quantum Chemical Topology theory. His research interests also include chemometrics, heterogeneous catalysis, and molecular dynamics.
