STRATEGIC OUTREACH ACTIONS

  • UFABC Preparatory School: the UFABC Preparatory School (EPUFABC) began its activities in 2010 as an extension project conceived by undergraduate students at the Federal University of ABC. From the outset, it sought to promote access to quality higher education for low-income communities in the ABC region by offering a free preparatory course for the National High School Exam (ENEM) – used to select students for UFABC. After 15 years of existence and now as a permanent extension program linked to UFABC’s Dean of Extension and Culture, it has already served around 6,000 students, all from public schools.
  • UFABC Children’s University: the UFABC Children’s University is a science outreach project that includes actions aimed at children. The actions aim to bring elementary school children closer to academia, promote their scientific culture and empowerment. The project offers opportunities for children to reflect on science and get to know the people and place behind it, facilitating dialog between children and scientists about the world.
