InovaUFABC created the UFABC Technological Incubator, called ITUFABC, which operates in the following ways:
- i) non-resident pre-incubation;
- ii) resident incubation in a coworking environment.
Throughout the pre-incubation process, incubatees will receive training and guidance on how to develop some scheduled monthly deliveries, such as:
- Business model canvas;
- Market study and development of a Go-to Market Strategy;
- Construction of the Minimum Viable Product;
- Validation of Business Assumptions.
Regarding the physical incubation process in a coworking environment, in addition to improving and reviewing the deliveries above, incubatees will develop:
- Validation of the Minimum Viable Product;
- Operational Plan;
- Marketing Mix;
- Cash Flow Projection (Valuation);
- Consolidation of the Business Plan and Preparation of Elevator Pitch.
During the incubation period, mentoring sessions will be held focused on each deliverable task. Mentors will be responsible for guiding entrepreneurs during the incubation program, helping them understand and prepare deliveries.
The incubatees must deliver the proposed activities monthly. At the end of the incubation process, the proposed enterprise will be presented to an evaluation panel composed of the ITUFABC Technological Incubation Committee.
As a result of the non-resident incubation program, graduate entrepreneurs should be able to structure a business model independently and autonomously.
Among the objectives and benefits offered by ITUFABC, we can highlight:
- Stimulate startup companies in the first stages of their life;
- Develop the entrepreneurial spirit at UFABC and in society in general;
- Enable entrepreneurs to use the Incubator’s services;
- Empower entrepreneurs to generate technological and managerial innovations;
- Encourage integration between entrepreneurs, among themselves or among partners who support the Incubator, seeking the development and exchange of technology;
- Support and train enterprises by offering mentoring with entrepreneurs, consultants, teachers and researchers;
- Spread the culture of entrepreneurship in society.
InovaUFABC works to search for strategic partners for the development of cooperation projects between Universities and Companies, as a way to encourage collaborative technological development and the application of scientific knowledge from the academic community in innovative technologies.
InovaUFABC works to bring UFABC closer to the Brazilian productive and public sectors, aiming at local, regional, and national socioeconomic development.
