Once more UFABC has been internationally acknowledged for its unceasing dedication to academic excellence. The American publisher U.S. News has launched the 2017 Best Global Universities Rankings, which allows students to compare universities worldwide in aspects ranging from research impact to
reputation. Through this methodology UFABC is ranked #4 among Brazilian universities, #9 in Latin America and #459 in the world.
In this ranking UFABC has achieved the 6 th position in the world in International Collaboration. This indicator considers publications with international co-authorship compared to other universities in the same country. In other words, researchers from UFABC evidence a higher degree of internationalization,
especially when compared to researchers in other Brazilian universities. This is the outcome of a variety of actions, such as: rigorous recruitment policy, worldwide talent hunting and massive support to research and postgraduate programs since the beginning of its activities 10 years ago.
